Interaction and bioactivity

  • In the micrographs taken 45 days after the placement of tricalcium beta-phosphate by electron microscopy, the beginning of the appearance of cell knots (1) that migrate through Osseobone can be observed, giving rise to the formation of fibrin (non-mineralised osteoid tissue) (2).

  • There are also areas where the osteoid tissue is mineralized in greater proportion (3) and in areas where there is already neoformed bone (4).

  • Micrograph (A) shows areas of coexistence between the non-mineralised resorbed material (fibrin) and the structured material (neoformed bone), which implies the directional reabsorption of Osseobone.
