A dental implant is a screw-shaped piece made of titanium that will support your new tooth. This material is biocompatible and has a very high success rate against rejections.

ZIACOM® dental implants are specially treated to achieve a homogeneous porosity in order to make its superficial structure similar to the human bone, making adaptation and integration with bone faster and better.

The fact of losing one or more teeth has several implications. Some important changes are produced at different levels:

At the functional level: the lack of one or more teeth can hinder the masticatory process of food.

At the phonetic level: the lack of parts can cause difficulty with speech and in the linguistic pronunciation.

· On an aesthetic level: tooth loss directly affects the aesthetics and therefore may undermine the self-esteem of those who suffer from it.

Usually, prostheses on dental implants are usually made out on porcelain with a metallic core (chrome-cobalt, titanium, etc.) or Zirconium* (with a natural appearance and high strength, as our natural teeth).
They can also be made in various biocompatible resins or composite structures of materials. Our dentist, along with his prosthetist will select the best dental materials according to the needs of our case.
Zirconium on dental implants, made with ZIACOR® CAD-CAM computer technique, allows full or partial rehabilitations with maximum precision and fit.

There are several reasons we should consider the placement of a dental implant:
Without the structure of the root of a natural piece, the maxilar bone can decrease gradually, what will make our face look older and might aslo affect the pieces close to it, making these unstable.
implantes ziacom There would not be loose pieces to worry about. A dental implant is stable and reliable, the best alternative to the replace a natural piece. After its placement and once the treatment has ended, followed by a correct maintenance, in general it will last as long as our natural pieces.

The image shows the different parts of a ZIACOM® treatment.

The implant (1) is the part that replaces the natural tooth root in the bone. The titanium abutment or interface (2) is placed over the implant and is the base for the dental crown. Third is the crown (3), a dental piece replacing the lost natural teeth. Finally, there is a titanium clinical screw (4) that definitively fixes the titanium abutment or interface and dental crown. Now the crown has a fixed base where support itself.

Treatments with dental implants can be made to replace a single tooth, several or a full arch. When all the pieces are missing or there is a section devoid of them is not necessary to place an implant for each lost tooth but, depending on the amount and quality of the bone, and the characteristics of our mouth, the professional will consider how many implants are necessary for the treatment.
